This PolePole wooden tiger figurine, a Sumatran tiger, is part of the Hakobune series, the ark that brings together animals from around the world. The wooden tiger is hand carved and hand painted in Bali, based on a design by the Japanese brand T-lab. In Swahili, “pole pole” means slowly, little by little: a whole philosophy of woodworking.
Each wooden tiger figurine is cut, carved, sanded and then painted by hand, so every piece is slightly different and truly unique.
