Wooden Hakobune Indian Elephant Figurine
The PolePole Hakobune wooden elephant figurine
This PolePole wooden elephant figurine, an Indian elephant, belongs to the Hakobune series, the ark that brings together animals from around the world. The wooden elephant is hand carved and hand painted in Bali, based on a design by the Japanese brand T-lab. In Swahili, “pole pole” means slowly, little by little: a whole philosophy of woodworking.
Each wooden elephant figurine is cut, carved, sanded and then painted by hand, so every piece is slightly different and truly unique.
- Handmade in Bali
- Natural plant-based paint
- Albizia Falcata wood from responsibly managed forests
- Lightweight, with a smooth, soft finish

An eco-friendly wooden elephant
Albizia Falcata wood grows quickly, and T-lab replants the trees it uses. This wooden elephant is an entirely natural object, free from chemical treatments and pollutants.
A natural, minimalist decorative piece
Imposing yet gentle, this Indian elephant adds a majestic touch to your shelf or desk. It pairs beautifully with the other animals in the series, such as the Hakobune wooden panda figurine.
